Work Completed: Flash Website

Description: Wanna Be Adopted is an additional website to announce the mission and vision of Family By Faith Worship Center. It is meant to catch the attention of visitors who will stay and watch the Flash message before moving on to the church’s main website. To keep visitors entertained while reading the message on adoption, a song from the music ministry leader, David Glenn, is incorporated into the Flash movie.

Work Completed: Blog setup, Template Customization

Description: This is a portfolio site for a Atlanta-based pen and ink artist, Judson Hall.

The requirements to setup the site were:

• easy to maintain
• clean design
• purchasing options

I managed to do just that with a premade WordPress template. I also setup a PayPal account to allow him to receive payments for his artwork.

Description: Turtletopia is a portal web site for finding information on the care, breeding, habitat, and feeding of turtles and tortoises. The web site also features book reviews and a discussion forum.

Website
Developing a website that was easy to maintain was the most important aspect of this project. With a templated system, I setup a solution based on Dreamweaver so the client would be able to easily update the site themselves.

Identity
Turtletopia also needed a logo. This attractive and colorful design was created to depict the coloring of turtles, which is largely green with a few accents here and there. A chunky, yet fun font was used in the name in order to convey the sporadic movements of the slow turtles and tortoises. The added touch of the turtle with the tongue hanging out gives it that spark of fun!

Description: A Pretty Rock is my handmade jewelry business. Requiring a simple way to maintain the site and add blog posts from one interface, I modified an install of Textpattern to work as both the product listing and blogging software. Modifying Textpattern to allow for product listings allowed me to use one interface for everything related to the maintenance of this Web site.

Description: A complete redesign from the ground up of Math2Go, an educational company that uses race cars to teach kids about math and science.

Description: A large and complex website consisting of an over 800 digital camera database and 1500+ digital camera reviews.

With over 30,000 pages on their site (and continually growing), The Imaging Resource needed a way to alleviate the process of posting new content.

Together, we modified the backend of the site and created a template based system that drastically reduces the length and download time of review pages. In addition, new database and site functionality scripts are created monthly in a continual effort to improve the site.

Description: This client is a pool and spa repair expert in the state of California. He is well known for his public speeches on topics affecting the industry. An online informational portfolio was created to promote his business and as a suppliment to his public speeches.

Work Completed: Microsoft FrontPage Template, CSS, Logo

Description: Jason is an Electronics Engineering graduate who needed a more modern look to his web site. We removed all the “hobbies & interests” links in preference of a more professional site with just a welcome page, his resume, and an email link. He also wanted the ability to update his site as needed, so we used Microsoft FrontPage to setup the web site. He now maintains the site by himself.

Description: Community Animal Rescue Effort (or C.A.R.E. for short) is a private nonprofit organization acting as a regional sanctuary for the needs of animals, pet owners, and their Community at large. C.A.R.E. needed a website to promote the shelter and help them place animals with good homes.

The solution was a website run off a custom animal adoption database that displayed available pets at the shelter. Administration pages were also created for the client so that they can handle all the postings and adoptions of the pets directly.

Description: SpeedJunkie.net was a portal for car enthusiasts. The goal of this logo was to emphasis race cars, so they type was given the “drive by” feel that you get when a car speeds by you. The “fireball” dot for the letter “i” adds to the speed theme by adding to the “drive by” imagery. (This site is no longer active.)
